Titan Lodge was consecrated towards the end of the 2nd world war when many Freemasons were being recruited and Hercules its mother lodge had a membership of over 130. As it was difficult for members to progress with such a large membership so it was decided to form a daughter lodge. Titan was chosen from 3 proposed names Commonwealth Liberty and Titan and was consecrated on 6th November 1944.
